Clyffe Pypard: St Peter

Wood Street Clyffe Pypard

Nestling under the ancient hangings is the pretty Parish of Clyffe Pypard.   We are a busy, mainly rural community of about 300, spread between the four residential areas, separated from each other by areas of farmland.

St Peter’s Church is situated in Clyffe Pypard. It is a Grade One listed building, much loved and well-maintained by the community, but we know that we will soon have to carry out repair work on the tower. Inside there is a magnificent monument in memory of the benefactor Thomas Spackman and in the well-maintained graveyard is the chosen resting place of the historian Nikolaus Pevsner and that of his wife.

More information about our Church and village can be found on the Community website www.clyffepypard-bushton.com
